A South Korean paradise that is home to some of the largest habitats of amberjacks and greater amberjacks for surface lure fishing.
In 2025, Wild Sea Nomads set out to innovate its portfolio in terms of fish and fishing structures!
Yes, we stepped away a little from the relentless search for new GT fishing spots, and instead sought destinations where we could also focus on TOPWATER fishing, but with other species that are equally coveted when it comes to explosive surface strikes — the amberjacks and greater amberjacks.
Jeju is becoming increasingly famous among Asian anglers because it is an extremely well-prepared destination for tourists, and the number of fishing spots that can be explored in a single expedition is impressive. In fact, the variety and abundance of fishing grounds is vast, with much still left to be discovered!
When it comes to boats, we rely on the best — brand new, fully equipped, and captained by someone with vast experience in putting us right where the fish are. We are truly talking about the best vessel and crew on the entire island of Jeju!
A favorite among Japanese anglers, Jeju is a paradise for amberjacks and greater amberjacks in surface fishing, and offers fabulous infrastructure in terms of hotels, boats, and authentic Korean cuisine.
A true gem for those who want to fish with complete comfort and safety.
Itinerary
Departing from São Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport, we can connect to Seoul, the capital of South Korea, through various hubs around the globe! With layovers in Dubai, Doha, European cities, or even the United States, we will arrive in Seoul with no complications, requiring only one stop after leaving Brazil. Indeed, reaching South Korea is very smooth and easy thanks to this single connection.
Upon arrival in Seoul, we recommend staying at least 3 full days to explore this vast Asian metropolis that has so much to offer!
Typical street food, restaurants ranging from simple and flavorful to world-renowned, Asian markets, temples, museums, luxury hotels, electronics stores, clothing shops unlike any other in the world — and of course, for those bringing their wives or wishing to surprise them, Seoul is the world’s most famous capital when it comes to beauty products. The number of skincare stores is countless, and prices are very accessible.
A stay in Seoul is truly a must for anglers heading to Jeju.
After visiting this near-megalopolis, we continue to Seoul’s domestic airport, and with a short flight (one hour and fifteen minutes at most), we will land in Jeju, where the Wild Sea Nomads team will be on the ground to assist with luggage and head toward one of the island’s coasts.
The final destination (North, South, East, or West Jeju) will only be confirmed a few days before the fishing trip, based on updated information about schools of fish and, of course, the best weather conditions.
This is one of Wild Sea Nomads’ advantages in providing anglers with the best local experience.
At most an hour and a half by car or minivan, we’ll be checking into one of the island’s hotels, always close to where the boat will be anchored, ready for the next day.
With gear organized, a relaxing beer, and a special dinner with traditional Korean cuisine, it’s time to rest — because the next day our Fishing Trip begins.
After 3 or 5 days of pure adrenaline, on the last fishing night we’ll wash all the reels and rods, pack everything neatly into the bags, and return to Jeju City the next morning. Since Jeju–Seoul is practically an “air bridge,” we can schedule an early afternoon flight and enjoy one last drink at the airport after checking in luggage and before boarding.
Accommodations &
Vessels
Super fishing boat + Comfort + Homemade food = Jeju
Jeju offers a wide hotel network spread across the island.
From north to south and east to west, we provide our friends and clients with the best 3- to 4-star accommodations, depending on the fishing region to be defined closer to the FISHING TRIP. Since the itinerary is not predetermined, we select the exact hotel nearest to the fishing area, ensuring we are always just minutes away by car from where our fishing super machine will be anchored.
This is the best way to optimize travel time in the mornings before heading out for fishing.
When it comes to boats, we can confidently say we will be on board a true “fishing vessel”!
A real fishing super machine, fully equipped, will put us right on top of the fish with comfort, safety, and maximum agility when moving from one fishing spot to another.
Casting aboard this vessel will revolutionize your concept of TOPWATER fishing.

- Shimano Stella and Daiwa Saltiga reels in sizes 14000 are the most suitable for a "perfect match" with the indicated rods.
And the 18000?
Answer: I would take 1 (one).
Huge chances of hooking small amberjacks "around 35kg" and large amberjacks weighing 20kg, in addition to the high chance that they will be eating medium-sized fish and we will have to cast lures weighing more than 150 grams.
- 14000 lines, PE8 - 80 lbs or PE10 - 100 lbs; - 18000 lines, PE10 - 100 lbs;
- Nylon leaders from 130 to 170 lbs;
- Rods with a casting capacity of at least 80 grams up to 210 grams, ranging from 8' to 8'5'';
- Small treble hooks, sizes 4 and 5 (BKK size), zero bar, to provide balance to the lures. The focus will be on single hooks.
- Single hooks of all brands and various sizes! Options with or without "string" and even with a solid ring will be well accepted. Give preference to those with "strings" which greatly helps in working the lure;
- Split rings that start with a minimum of 250 pounds of power going up to a maximum of 500 pounds. Don't forget a split swivel for easy lure changes and large pliers that are compatible with opening these split rings;
- Stickbaits of various sizes, weights, colors, shapes, etc.
Amberjack and Bullseye Jack LOVE stickbaits! The focus of this fishing trip will be this type of lure, WHILE NOT FORGETTING to bring a wide variety;
- Medium-sized poppers, up to 120 grams, giving preference to SLIM poppers with smaller mouths;
- Diving Poppers, also well accepted with a maximum weight of 140 grams.
/ Light jigging fishing:
- Shimano Stellar or Daiwa Saltiguinha reels in sizes 5000 and 6000 that can hold up to 300 meters of PE 2 or PE 3 line;
- Fluorocarbon shock leaders (not nylon) of 60 pounds;
- Rods capable of working jigs up to 120 grams;
- Hooks size 2 and 3 (Shout size) zero bar;
- Jigs of various colors weighing up to 100 grams.
Focus: working the jigs in true Speed Jigging style! The real focus is to attract the attention of the big jacks.
Medium Jigging:
- Shimano Stella and Daiwa Saltiga medium sizes, i.e., 8000 and 10000, that hold 300 meters of PE 4 or PE5 line;
- Fluorocarbon shock leaders (not nylon) and 80 lbs;
- Rods capable of working jigs from 180 to 300 grams;
- Hooks sizes 5, 6, and 7, respecting the SHOUT brand size;
Important: Diversify jigs as much as possible. Colors, sizes, holographic, shapes, etc. Jigging is not the operator's specialty, but in our exploratory expeditions, we have had great results with various models from various brands. There is STILL no pre-defined Wild Sea Nomads standard on the best types of jigs.
Slow jigging:
The freedom to test EVERYTHING! We did not explore this type of fishing at the destination. 2026 will be a great time for such an achievement.
