It’s almost funny that an island with such a significant geographical presence in Asia isn't known to everyone. There isn't even a faint memory that it belongs to the Indian nation.

Although it’s right next to Indonesia, yes, it is Indian territory and is very well defended by its army. There is a large Indian military base that guards it "with tooth and nail."

In 2018, when we made our first fishing trip to this place that was already known to many foreign anglers but not yet to Brazilians, we had no idea of the size of the potential for artificial lure fishing that remained intact there. Our arrival was shocking, as we imagined that the fishing spots were either few or already very "beaten." We were so wrong!

The spots remained, and continue to be, countless on that extensive island. In 7 well-planned days of fishing, you will certainly not repeat casts and jigs in the same spots.

This doesn't even account for the fact that true WILD-style expeditions were blocked by the pandemic in 2020. We were literally "lockdowned" from exploring places we had been planning since our first trip to the archipelago. A true blockage of a plan that was made for 2 full years. Soon, our artificial lures will surely change that story!
