Saumlaki, where it all began...

...and where we were proven right!
Saumlaki marked the start of Wild Sea Nomads' expeditions in a country with the unique characteristic of resembling a giant archipelago more than a conventional nation!

In 2024, a select group of seven truly "Nomad" anglers embarked on a 12-day journey around this enigmatic island in the Banda Sea.

Traveling aboard a liveaboard, we set out from the main port of Saumlaki and covered over 380 nautical miles, exploring fishing spots that—we can guarantee—had never before seen an artificial lure!

We fulfilled our true mission...
To EXPLORE and PROVE—through our fishing—that the location is not only remote but remains pristine and full of promise for years to come.

Saumlaki has certainly earned a spot on the Wild Sea Nomads' list of favorite destinations, and in the coming years, it will once again welcome Brazilian anglers passionate about topwater fishing with artificial lures.
